Hi Lars,
I was looking to seriously get back to my old passion: chess. I was dusting off my old books and looking for fresh internet resources when I came across your site. I can't thank you enough for the amazing work you've done here. Your dedication and effort are greatly appreciated by me, and I'm sure by countless other chess lovers. Thank you.

Iíve always wanted to learn how to play chess, but it was one of those hobbies that Iíve always been too busy to commit to. I used to be in Chess Masters when I was little, but Iíll admit I didnít get much out of the program as what I couldíve and shouldíve. I learned a lot, but over the years my memory didnít retain any of the knowledge I learned back in 4th grade. I was in it for the five or six sour gummy worms we got at the end of each two hour session. Itís been on my bucket list for ages (you can see them on my webpage >>, but seeing as I had other goals that could be completed in far less time, I didn't bother to start learning chess.

Recently I watched this amazing movie: Life of a King and it got me inspired enough to opened up the chess application on my computer and soon enough, I started battling it out with the computer. I lost, of course.. I was very rusty, but then I came across this webpage. And this just might change my life. Thank you. (And I know I just gave you an essay, but I needed to emphasize how thankful I am!!)
